BTR North Run

Location: Mitchell Lake Trailhead (Brainard Lake Area)
Update: due to lack of RSVP I'm not planning to stop at the Justice Center. Trailhead: https://maps.app.goo.gl/xfovywr31FfkUYnY6 Parking Reservations: https://www.recreation.gov/timed-entry/10087515/ticket/10087516 (24 left for the 5-8pm entry at time of writing) Let's head for the hills to beat the heat with a nite run up Mt Audubon. There are two options for meetup. We'll rendezvous first at the Justice Center at 6pm sharp and assemble into carpools. Parking reservations are required (there are still plenty left for evening entry), so please RSVP so I can coordinate how many we need. Or, if you prefer to handle that on your own, we will meet at 7pm at the Mitchell Lake Trailhead. The run itself will be a casual, no drop pace. The run is 7.6 miles with 2600ft of gain. It will probably take 3-4 hours to finish the run so we will return to Boulder at about midnight. Don't forget a light, and you will probably want water and nutrition since it is a longer run. This run has been a great opportunity in the past for some dramatic astrophotography. There will be a full moon Thursday morning so we should get some pretty good views even without fancy cameras. This is also a great opportunity for folks getting ready for big summer ultras to get some high altitude running after sunset.
